Das Ziel des Projektes der Kommission Deutsche Inschriften ist die Sammlung und Edition aller lateinischen und deutschen Inschriften des Mittelalters und der Frühen Neuzeit bis zum Jahr 1650. Das Sammelgebiet umfasst nach heutigem Stand Deutschland und Österreich sowie Südtirol.

The aim of the project is to collect and edit all Latin and German inscriptions of the Middle Ages and the early modern period up to the year 1650. As it stands today, the collection area includes Germany and Austria as well as South Tyrol.
